Because I can't.
Cops would be bugging me every single night and I would get a sticker on the rear license plate that indicates I need to have it inspected within a week, and if the plate isnīt at front by that time, I get a re-investigation date and if I fail at that one = fined and plates taken off the car.
When I had the white STi 07 a car backed into be at a traffic light and the front plate fell off, I just put it in my car for the first day and on the second day a cop pulled me over for not having a front plate. I put it on the dash and he gave me a warning. On the third day, another cop pulled me over and I told him the story. He gave me a warning. Phew, nothing on the fourth day.
On the fifth day I got pulled over. The cop told me that appearantly I had gotten two warnings in less than a week and having it in the front window is not enough. I had to put it on somehow and I just bought a license plate frame, put it on the broken license plate bracket on the bumper and there it was - tilted downwards on the right, inwards on the left and ugly
In short: Front license plates must be on the car. Rear too.

Canon EOS 40D. I have 17-85, 50mm f1.4, 10-22 all of which I use regularly, 60mm macro on extreme close ups and 75-300 which I never use. All Canon lenses. Canon 580EX II flash and then MR-14EX ring light for the Macro lens.
