I found this vid posted on a local forum, its from last Monday's HPDE at Brainerd (BIR). Watch the first few seconds of the vid, the rest is really lame. The only passing zones were on the 2 straights which made for a boring day. Just thought I'd share, not all Evo X's are slow Thanks AMS!

This car definitely hauls. When I rode with Ryan that same day we were constantly blowing past people on that same straight.

Which group was this out on track? Beginner? Everyone is driving like it's a cool down lap.

 

All day long there were beginners mixed with track junkies. Made it a nerve racking day for first timers like myself and it was annoying for repeat HPDE drivers.

There was good theory of organization, just lack of carrying it out. I rode with a few other people prior to going out on my first session and learned the lesson of letting people pass in the designated areas versus hauling down the straights and keeping them stuck behind me.

 

Hahaha those cars were all slow as hell. But that was still a wicked pass!

 

Ok that is what it looks like.

While seeing a Evo fly by 6 cars in a straight is cool, it's not that hard to pass 6 beginners that aren't even going past 50% throttle.
