My GG Evo X on the track

Took the X out to Infineon Raceway and it was amazing! This is a true track car. I had a few under steer issues but it's easy to tune it out. I lowered the front tires PSI and bumped up the back to rotate the cars rear end better and under steer was a lot less. I think coilovers and a rear sway upgrade will be even better, but no money for those now. But still it was awesome getting up on the Porches and Corvettes knowing they paid way more for their car and I'm faster on the track! I can't wait to do it again! Here are the pics.

Not yet....they are on there way to going out. The 180 tread rating sucks. Super sticky but dang these wear fast. Not sure what I'm gonna get next and not sure when....maybe one more track day and these are gone....

Great pictures....did you upload new ones on the GG Picture Thread? Can you post those here as well?

For your understeer problem, did you have the traction control turned fully off, half off, or on? I thought with it on, the yaw control would kick in and eliminate the understeer? It definitely does on mountain roads.

I can't remember where I read it, but someone was commenting that in order to achieve the best track times they hauled @ss up to the turn (faster than you you think you should be going into a turn), let off the accelerator as they entered the turn, and then floored it again after they crossed the apex to almost completely eliminate the understeer. This may have been an EVO IX though, because the yaw control only kicks in for me when I'm on the gas. I'll have to dig up that article to make sure it wasn't a IX.

Yup that was my car again in the GG Thread on track....but it wasn't me driving....it was my "Stig". My friend Alex took it for the weekend, he's an amazing driver and the only one I trust with that car on track besides me...he was in group 3 and got some amazing times...and some amazing shots as u will see:

And an amazing 2-wheels off drift kind of....LOL. With a mud flap popping off, haha.

He ran with the ASC half off and said it was awesome....so next time I go on track I will go out and see what I can do....ya I think you really got to watch your tire pressure too.

Awesome! That feeling of passing 997s in an underpowered 3600 pound Mitsubishi sedan is priceless.
