18X8 wheels on an X?

So I've got a set of wheels/tires in my garage that will fit my X, from my old 94 rx7. However, they are only 18X8's. I hate to put skinnier tires on my car than stock, it feels like blasphemy.

Opinions? Should I sell them and replace them with 18X9/9.5? or should i put them on anyways for the time being? Will it make that much of a difference?

I believe stock is 18x8.5, why downsize? and whats the offset on the rims that you have for your rx7?

Totally your call...guys have been putting 9.0-9.5 to 10.5

i think 8" is a little too skinny for X's.upgrade to 9.5" or 10" wide rims.

You gotta go atleast 9.5. Thats what I went with. 8 will just not look good on the X.

9.5 inch is perfect for a 275 tire but a lot of guys are using 265's which you can use a 9 inch wide wheel.
