Where did you guys buy the "Evolution X" emblem? I thought it was still in development?

if i remember correctly, it still is, but that was a while back. i was trying to work on the matting/template but havent really gotten around to check with my friend due to work these past few weeks.

here is a sample of a matte black emblem i was working on too for the template:






unless he finished them already (like i said, i havent really checked back) and are on sale somewhere, the badges would have only come from my friend or myself.

 

looks good. just not feeling the "X" looks sorta like a set of scissors.

 

1) I like the matte black version. I hope you get your friend to get these to us ASAP.

eh, I understand the whole concept x homage thing, but i think it would look better matching the rest of the font

 

the thing is, if you think about it, if you use the same font across the whole name, people who aren't really smart enough to distinguish that this was designed to pay homage to the original "Evolution X" badge, would read it as EVOLUTIONX.

you cant really please everybody.

making the X distinct gives enough of a pause to make people think what it stands for. whether it means a pair of scissors, or the letter X to mean "10" or a pair of samurai swords (original concept), making the "X" distinct, I think, is appropriate.
