Seibon Hood - Review
Background
So my hood got keyed by some idiots when I left my car parked in downtown New Haven so I decided to replace it with a CF one from Seibon.
I was looking for a replacement, not to lose weight. Just felt like this needs to be clarified before anyone starts lecturing me on how this isn't going to make me faster around the track.
I bought the Seibon hood as one of very few options that came reccommended to me by my local shop who is an authorized dealer of the Seibon brand. I would recommend anyone looking for this hood or any Seibon products to check him out at ExceleratePerformance.com or his shop in Branford CT. The hood came in 9 days to his shop and was in great condition.
The Dirt
Overall I am pleased with the product. I am not surprised that there were some minor fitment issues as I have encountered these with most of the US Brands I have purchased in the past. The weave is great with no imperfections that have stood out to me so far. The vents looked somewhat cheap at first look, but they actually match the material of the grille so a little black spray paint could make them blend in with the front fascia. The fitment was good with a slight 2-3mm gap on the left side. This is not bad by any means, but was enough to upset my girlfriend, lol. The hood uses the stock hardware, accommodates the stock hood prop with no modification needed, and has predrilled washer nozzles. Unfortunately, the pre drilled nozzle holes are too small which can be fixed with some universal washer nozzles (no LEDs).
Install - Very Easy (Minor Modifications (new nozzles), uses stock mounting hardware)
Fitment - Good - Slight Gap on one side (2-3mm)
Weave - Very Good
Some temporary pictures until daylight arrives:

working on it... there are these holes in the bottom of the hood that seem to be put in a really convenient spot for them.
these seem really nice for a lazy guy like me... no more forgetting to latch the pins!

the pc'd black ones look pretty sweet.
