No problem. I knew I was going to get grilled for the leather. Believe me it's not that bad when you look at it in person. I have no regrets at all since, to me at least, it's way better than stock. I apretiate all the comments. I've come to realize nothing you do to your car will turn out perfect, but I do it anyways because I don't like to drive the same car as the guy next to me.

Thanks. The exhaust is the HKS Axel back with the HKS midpipe. I also have the UR resonated test pipe and it sound awesome (not loud at all). I'm just waiting for AMS to release their 02 downpipe combo to complete my exhaust. The car is dropped on Eibach springs and I can't tell the difference from stock when it comes to ride quality. I love how it got rid of the fender gap.

I used the lamin-x tint. It's the middle kind. I did it myself and it turned out real good. You just have to take off the lights to make sure you go all the way to the edge of the light, DO NOT buy the car specific kit. I did that with my wife's Camry and it turned aweful, there was a red very visible red line around the tint. It looked so bad I had to take it off.

Definitely an upgrade and rest of the car looks "spot on"! A "little" OT but did you test before and after with AGP FMIC?

Later, Ken
AMS Intake&Exhaust

I think the car looks absolutely GREAT! Along the lines of what I want for mine. Add a few kids in the mix and you find your working OT for them more than your own toys. I empathize with you on that. Did you just call your local dealer to set this up through them?

I haven't dynoed the car since I got it so I couldn't tell you. The AGP FMIC is way bigget than the stock intercooler and the butt dyno says I gained some hp

I got the # for Mitsubishi from my brother, he works at a Mitsu dealer. When I called them they directed me to the Roadwire's company website. When I called the Roadwire company, they directed me to one of their official installers in the area.

I tried doing it through the dealer, but my brother says it would have been done the exact same way and installed by the exact same company as if I did it by myself. The difference is that I saved about $200 doing it myself by leaving the dealer out of the picture.

leather definitely look better than cloth/fabric but if they are seatcovers IMO i would not have gotten them. i sold my cloth recaro's a little over 1k and assuming you could get the same amount for your recaro's plus the $1500 you could get some very pristine used if not new brides maybe? i think this would really set you apart from the other X just like the brides archibabes has on his RR car.

in any case that is just me talking out loud, whats important is you are happy with your purchase.

nice looking X btw. i myself am looking to lower my car but with swifts.

I know exactly what you’re saying. The thought of selling the Recaros and getting new seats crossed my mind. This is my daily driver, wife and kid, so it has to be as comfortable as possible. I really like the Recaro seats that come with the Evo, I just didn’t like the fabric material they were wrapped in. They are super comfortable for long trips, at least for me since I’m skinny and fit perfectly in the seat.

I just called the place that installed my interior to ask them some questions. They said the package I got are not seat covers, they are full replacements. They took the cloth off and replaced it with the leather. I told him about the “loose” spots, he said to bring it over next time I’m in the area and he’ll take a look. There is a 3 year warranty on materials and installation so we we’ll see what they can do about it.
