Either way, this has gone way off track and I apologize for the remarks in my initial post... lets try to keep this about the nice new wheels.
TomatoEVO's comment was a knock on Rota's imitation of Volk. You made the incorrect assumption that TomatoEVO's comment had something to do with the OP imitating him.

Isn't it funny how wheels thread showing off new Volks, Advans, AMEs, Enkeis, Works, etc. never get off-track like ones showing off Rotas.... Something to ponder I guess.

I guess its because there's a couple people on here that feel the need to bash rotas whenever a wheel thread pops up. I could understand that negativity if someone where to try to pass off their rotas AS volks. Or if someone started posting that their rotas are better than every other wheel. But I've yet to see that. People buy rotas cause they like the way they look and the can't justify spending 3k+ for wheels on a daily driver. Its really that simple. There shouldn't be anything wrong with that.

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head. I could see if this company made original wheel designs... But I'll save that for another thread.

I'll just end it and say, hey, if that's what you like... go for it.

car looks good. looking forward to some better pics though. Please update with some better pics when you have a chance. I personally think that the grids look better than te37's. much more concave. funny thing is I've had over 6-7 sets of authentic volks w/3 sets being te37's.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to look good on the cheap. Its the whole supporting companies that copy products that most of us that speak out don't like.

What if a chinese/filipino/etc company started making AMS products without the AMS label?

Oh ... most of you will say you won't skimp on money with performance parts and get the real deal.

hypocrites (for those who feel that way).

Support the innovators not the replicators.

I understand what you're saying and you make some valid points. But you have to see that becuase of their price and limited availability, Volk has taken themselves right out of the market for the average enthusiast. Yes, I know theres plenty of people who can afford them and dont mind waiting a few months to find them. But thats not the majoirty of us. And even if price and availability werent an issue between the two Volk still wouldn't have gotten my business because they dont make what I was looking for. They dont offer this wheel in the size, offset, finish and aggressive concave face that I wanted. Rota does.
