Removing simple scratches?

I've tried some compound crap before but all it did was remove the wax. Anyone have ideas on how to clean up light scratches? The ones you can pass your finger over and not feel.

Try a polishing compound first and see if that works... if it doesn't, then use a rubbing compound because it's a bit more abraisive, and it should do the trick. Follow it up with the polishing compound to make it look nice again.
