You had me at CF fabric, but lost me at scissors (I can't stop running with the damn things). Very nice posted info and it came out great!

The side closer to the outside mirror doesn't pop out unless you break off the top clip that is holding it in. Once you bend hard enough, the top will break off and then you have both sides loose but the freakin middle part still holding the entire piece on. Thats when we rotated the piece and just applied the fabric while it was still on the door. The bottom clip does the job to hold it in place after you are done.

it is really tricky .. apparently there IS a way to remove the trim completely , but idk which is more of a PITA , taking the whole thing off or just doing it while its still connected to the door by that middle clip and screw. the right side of the door trim will only come off if you snap off the top clip , there is one on the bottom too so it isn't really a problem in terms of fitting back in the right way, then you can do the trim while its on the door if you just rotate it a bit !

the fabric is nice, it is not really glossy it has a little bit of shine but for the most part has a more dry look, it is similar to the m3 cf fabric trim except that it is more of a weave whereas the m3 trim is more smooth. thanks and i got it from eurodyne on the e90 forums
