10 Pics of my new Evo...

I picked her up on Monday and already have over 1000 miles on the clock. I brought her home to the my parents house for Easter weekend. My dad got behind the wheel and said she's a speeding ticket waiting to happen - but he wants one.

It has been washed each of the last 3 days, and today we spent 2.5 hours detailing a car that has only been owned for 5 days. Overall it has 6 coats of wax on the front bumper/hood and mirrors, 3 coats of ice wax (good for black trim) on the black on the front and back, and 2 coats of wax on the entire car (including inside the gas door). I also took the wheels off today scrubbed them down and gave them 2 coats of wax inside and out - spent almost 30 mins on each. They definitely look better than when I picked the car up from the dealership. Also gave the brake calipers a couple coats of wax while I had the rims off. Needless to say I didn't have anything better to do today.

I figured since the car looked better than when I picked it up from the dealership I should take some pics... Here they are. Gotta say thanks to my old man for his help getting it cleaned up. He's a machine.

Actually, I use different waxes for different parts of the car... I used Black Magic liquid wax on the rims because it's easier to put on and take off. Turtle Wax Ice on the black trim because it's clear and doesn't stain. Eagle One Nanowax on the front bumper and mirrors because my dad and I have found it to repel bugs very well, but it's a pain in the *** to get off, so we only use it where most bugs end up. Finally we used a professional detailer's 3M glaze on the rest of the car - it was given to my dad by one of his friends who shows his cars.

We like trying different cleaning products

That's a good way to spend the whole day!

The first two weeks, I put over 2,000 miles on mines! I just love driving it!

Does the 3m glaze you are talking about come in a tall container and it's a cream color? I'm asking because someone gave me some 3M stuff that worked at a dealership.

Your car looks cleaner than mine ever has or will.

Thanks, I was always afraid to use it because I wasn't exactly sure what it is/does.

I used meguiar's gold class liquid wax the first go around and didnt like the results so I went with their NXT tech wax paste and it was excellent.

The pic in the cemetery was taken in Washington PA... my home town. It's about 35 mins SW of Pittsburgh. Took the car up to see a couple lost friends + relatives Just so happens to be a good view of our little town, so I snapped a couple pics.
