Very cool, vinyl definitely has it's advantages over paint.

Dude, great job on the car. It looks bad ***. This is exactly what I plan to do to my car. I don't have an evo yet but I'm planning for a WWhite or ASilver. Flatblacking it looks sick, protects the paint and it's like having too cars when you want.

More pics, it never gets old.

why would i keep it on for 7-8 years? thats kinda the point to it, its temp. i dont even plan to have the car that long...
3m is uv coated, so theres no worry of fading.
controltac graphics film will leave little to no adhesive residue when removed, and as long as its taken off in like 78+ temp it will pull off in one piece. so far since ive taken off/redone little pieces ect that have been in the california sun for 2-3 months, ive had no issues yet.
Saw you driving several times through Thousand Oaks, right on Lynn Road. The Evo looks real clean. I think you spotted me in the Grey GT-R once, nice beard! Rocking the 'Sebastien Tellier' style. Love it.

I usually don't like vinyl on rounded cars. I prefer it on squared off, old style muscle cars, but I must say it looks pretty good.

You really need to get the newer black tails though, and possibly paint your heads black too.

Looks baller but you need some more baller wheels to complete the look.

Talon_66 - thanks. it doesnt really take skills though, just money.

SilverPanda - iboyds is where i got my stuff. a roll is 150ft. youd use most of it.

NHL410 - thanks, not a fan of clear tails. its a dime a dozen out here.

MetalSpoolDoom - thanks, i have wheels and a drop.

Robevo RS - thank you.

dirtyb - it sure does, i just wipe it down with a towel. pretty easy to care for.

Spins4 - i cant take full credit. only partial. it was too much work for me to do.

DrivelineSales - i shaved my head and beard. i only drive the evo in weekends now... so hopefully i can impress with my new daily 06 wrx. i dont think it will be as much of an eye opener though. i just cant keep driving the evo into the ground (currently has 75k miles on it)

Evolved360 - thanks

A1smithkid - he wins, i cant do back flips on a bike. actually, i cant do back flips anywhere.

TGZ - black lights or tails is merely another reason to get pulled over out here. i dont need any more reasons to pop my hood.

TopGear8 - im sitting on te37's. some people would consider those baller.

deatschwerks 850cc, walbro fuel pump w/install kit, tein h tech...

when are you gonna start carrying the process west tmic?

i seriously need the h techs. i went from some ridiculously low cobb springs (i swear they were like 2.5+ lower) to sti pink springs when i picked the car up, and i swear its probably higher than stock height now. theres no way the pinks lowered it by an inch.

you said you did it for a third of the price the bmw guy paid? he paid 120.... you only paid 40 bucks? including the help of a vinyl shop?
