I have the second prototype and I love it. It really cleans up the engine bay. The only problem is, I wish I could drive with the hood open now . I'll post up pics later.

295$ shipped on subtle-solutions website. Maybe a group buy in the works?

I just saw that Driveline posted some info on the pricey Colt $peed cover...

Wow, crazy timing. The Colt Speed cover looks nice, but I think I like the Subtle one a lil' better...

Reasons why:

1. Powder Coated vs. Anodized
2. Subtle has the bolt holes aligned and centered with the vents
3. Vents look more uniform and layed out better.
4. Only three fastening locations, not 4.
5. More coverage on the left side of cover. I think it has more return flanges and hides the manifold a lot better.
6. Tighter fit around the dipstick
7. Taller tube and larger coverage around oil cap
8. Hardware will be powder coated black
9. Made in USA

Phew...I think I got them all.

Just wanted to give my .02 cents and opinion.

Yes. You are in luck...

I took a very close look at the cover in person at MOD this past weekend and measured the tube diameter opening to be around 2-3/8" (2.375") and the stock cap around 1-7/8" (1.875"). That's 1/2" of clearance which should be perfect. Plenty of room for your fingers and an aftermarket oil cap (HKS, ARC, etc).

As far as the Mitsubishi logo, I would think they avoided it due to legal issues with that.

gives ur car that "modded" look under the hood, plus it matches ur powdercoated pipes
