Would love to offer them at this rate, but with our crap economy and failing exchange rate, it's close to impossible.

We are still waiting to hear what their final decision is. It all comes down to cost of manufacturing. If it comes out being $100.00-$200.00 less than the carbon version, then there really is no point to even making them.

Thanks for replying Driveline. Maybe with this new president, we will be able to get them thrown in with the new healtcare bill. Fingers crossed. Guess I will just need to save my money a little longer!

Awesome, I guess. As much as I dislike knock-offs if the replicas prove to be of decent quality I'll get one... Mainly due to the fact that I HATE my non-SSS wing. So, blame Mitsu.

The replica price isn't very cheap either.

I was quoted at $700+shipping for FRP and $850+shipping for carbon fiber.

Replicas will eventually kill the industry, R&D, and QA, will be a thing of the past... Soon there will be nothing to replicate IMHO.

Damn! Replicas? If it looks and fits just as well then I might be down for this. With the current economy, I don't mind paying less.

may be close, but never the same quality as the original. you truly get what you pay for when it comes to this kind of stuff. just check the regular lancer threads and look at all the body-kit mishaps for the guys who went the cheap route...

Exactly what I was thinking, plus you're in Cali so you can pick it up and save big time.

Jeovanni- Correct, it was Sales@MastergradeMotorsport.com I contacted regarding the replica trunk. I heard over on EvoX they were considering it and so I e-mailed them.
