So what's the advantage of dry carbon in this application? So you can say "yeah it's dry carbon so it's that much more expensive and that many ounces lighter?"

How about go wet carbon, reduce cost, add some weight...

exactly that, having dry carbon on something and having it actually worth what it costs is for cars that have heavy hoods...etc. In that case a dry cf hood with be significantly lighter then the persons stock hood....etc

Like the carbon fiber better, but the kevlar is definitely unique.

Look under "combo packages".. you can get the full kit, or just the intake system. But if you're rocking an $800 intake, you might as well go full baller and get the engine/spark plug covers and radiator cooling plate with the kit for an extra $400, lol.

I wonder why there is an option to just get the intake but not an option to just get the other pieces!?

They have EVERYTHING broken down in separate prices. The spark plug cover is $100 and the other engine cover thing that goes over the intake manifold is $200
