from what i remember, titanium is a very brittle metal. i use to ride for a company that was trying for a few years to develop a cast titanium mountain bike crank. after about $150K and many cracked prototypes later, they finally threw in the towel.

i don't know what alloy of titanium these exhausts are made from, but i think that it would need to be sectionally welded to produce a smooth bend in the tube. considering that a good Ti bicycle frame can reach up to $6K, the ARC exhaust is not outrageously priced.

btw, that exhaust is pure sex.

I agree, that's why I don't understand why people complain about the price. Its titanium. I dont mind if some ones feels it's not worth it, because to me I think it is and I love it.

I'm pretty sure it is the only exhaust ARC make for the X. I'm not sure what the extra titan exhaust is. Have you got a pic?

What difference does it make? It's lightweight and it appears as though it will perform quite well.

The difference is that its boring, I remember did Tomato have this and say it was too quiet?, thats all - dont need to get your panties in a bunch.
How does it appear to do anything other than look wild? Looks like it bottlenecks down to 2.5 at the midpipe/testpipe area.

For those who were wondering about the price, etc. The rear section isn't that much, just under 3k, but he got the entire exhaust including mid-pipe.

Just for reference, the Amuse is about 3k for full catback.

It won't turn blue unless you really get it hot. Normal driving won't do it.

Just posting some pic's in case someone else is wondering what it looks like.
