New Shoes on my Storm Trooper Rota Grids!!!
car looks good, but cutting springs is stupid. as for the ROTA arguement...i used to be one of the biggest haters of all things ROTA because they are nothing more than a knockoff company. that said, if all you're going for is the look, then go ROTA. personally i'd never buy a set of knockoff wheels for the EVO because i'm a performance minded guy.
also, i'm tired of seeing ROTA people come up with the bs about people with more expensive wheels being afraid to hit potholes, etc.
newsflash: Forged wheels are stronger than cast wheels. if you pay more for a forged wheel, one of the benefits is not having to worry about breaking it. it's the cheap wheels that will break. i had a set of Volk SE37k's on my honda accord before i got the EVO and i put those wheels through hell and back on the street, autocross, and on the road course and never even put so much as a scratch on them in the 7 years they were on the car. they were worth every penny, and also in 17x7.5 they only weighed 14.2lbs each. nothing ROTA makes can beat that.
it's all about what your needs are at the time that you make the purchase. car looks good, but get yourself some coilovers or something instead of chopped springs.

But mabe im just going for the LOOKS mabe I dont want coilovers....I might end up doing an AIRRUNNER SYSTEM, I might even post it up so I can get some haters lol hahaha 
News FLash my STOCK wheels Weighed the same as my ROTAS!!!! And their wider ouch! Ohh wait I guess that makes me a Performance minded fool too dang!

I like how folks say Rota is destroying the market. People should thank them for the market correction. Wheels just arent worth 3K, let alone 5K like HREs....

Hey I KEEPZ it HOOD.....I can bet on anything that im not the only one that has cut their springs on their evo and still drives it around. I know it might sound ghetto to some or all but hell im man enough to step up and admit that I am rolling on cut springs "I don't care". If I was to track my car then I would use coilovers, and rock the VOLKS. But its just a daily driver
PS: I used to think all Evo owners were kool but damn were just like the NISMO crowd... lol I got so many dirty looks in my 350z roadster from the G35 and Z peeps...

It would be like getting an alignment and then adjusting it a little bit yourself once you got home. Or getting tuned to 24PSI only to turn it to 27PSI later.
You are screwing with how something is suppose to work that was designed by people who know a helluva lot more about suspension than you.
