I drove both but the evo was stock , and i must say if i had the cash i would take GTR any day . but again the evo is one amazing car , and with a good price tag , it is one of the best performance to buck you can get out there .
This is a 100000 repost. How can anyone compare these cars they are fully different. Also the GT-R wins so what does this give the evo x owners to cheer about? The fact that they lost? You don't win one round in boxing but lose the match and then claim victory.

It's not like a Civic vs. a GT-R, the Evo did amazingly well for the price you paid.
People love the Corvette for the same reason, or the GT-R for the same reason; compared to the SUPER mega-buck cars, they might not win, but they do DAMN good.
Yeah the price on those FQ cars are silly. You could turn an Evo X into a full-blown race car for that kind of money...suspension, full carbon, roll cage, everything. I've seen some fine specimens for sale on here for far less.

As for the 33,000 pounds part... close, but yes. The base model is 29,499 pounds. That'd come out to roughly $47,000...

exactly....if a car sells for 29,999 pounds in England....they sell it for $29,000. just because the FQ400 is 50,000 pounds doest mean its 80,000 dollars....
look at ferraris for instance....they sell for say 180,000 USD....well in England they are 180,000 pounds. In the Euro car market they fluctuate the price to coincide with a reasonable price to sell the car....
so there doing the he said 49,999 pounds, about $100,000. In actuality it's about $80,000 doest apply....if it is 49,000 pounds...if it were to be sold in America it is $49,000.
BMW M3 Coupe for example as well... 50,000 pounds....

in USA 57,000 Dollars (extra money is probably shipping, tax, etc)

but damn close to the same...
