Billet dress up goodies!

I'm working with a friend right now who is having some various Evo X billet dress-up items made. Right now, I have a sample of a billet cap cover for the radiator cap to show. Covers for the PS and brake fluid caps are on the way, in the same style. Should have some photos of a sick billet coil cover early next week as well.

edit: Updated shot with coil cover on top of powder coated valve cover:

The coil cover is billet 6061 aluminum, CAD-designed and machined on a CNC mill. Same with the caps as well.

Will do, I should be helping prototype one Monday and there will be a few others immediately available. I can't speak for sure since I won't be selling these, but I think several of each item are being produced up front.

I'll probably be showing one off of top of a candy blue valve color early this week. We'll see

These parts are all being produced on a CNC mill. I think the guy making all of this stuff plans on engraving a logo and brand name, but I also think he's offering them as plain blanks.

I'll keep you guys up to speed, I should have a CNC billet coil cover to show off today or tomorrow.

I don't think he's going to put back the coil cover. Engine bay looks a lot better without the coil cover anyway but I would just worried when it rain though.

I'm waiting on a custom billet aluminum coilpack cover to be made... it will cover and protect the coils once it's done. The engine cover is definitely NOT going back on

Haha, ok no more flaming guys

I'll go ahead and just make a little assertion here. The guys designing and producing these custom machined parts, including myself, are all very knowledgeable gearheads and mechanics, who have each built some very fast cars. If that guy was calling these billet items "rice" then he is sadly mistaken... just engine bay accents designed by guys who like to go fast. Show parts CAN be done tastefully, and that's something the Evo community demonstrates on a daily basis.

edit: Anyway... I think the first sample coil cover will be done tomorrow and I'll post up some pics of it on my valve cover.

it's ok some people just enjoy having a *clean* car rather than a *show* car all together and the engine bay is the main place to bring a car together

I love a clean engine bay!

Agreed.

And I think the guys making these Evo X parts are also making some SRT-4 dress up items soon...
