Thanks for the comments guys, I'm glad that it's nothing that I did wrong. The IC is the AMS 3.5". The pipe is an ETS uicp that I ordered flat black and the couplers are special order from a local shop that subs them out from someone locally. All black with no logo...very stealthy I just wish I could have found t-bolts.


The Transformers sticker comments are funny to me as it is ironically the only sticker that I have on the car. Hell I don't even want base stickers on the front wind shield. It's just something that I put on because I was an 80's kid and with the new movies recently out my daughter is nuts over them. After 3 Evos and almost 5 years on the forums, I've seen much much worse! lol

 

where the sticker is placed, I wouldn't worry at all, it'll come off clean, no paint to worry over.

FWIW, mine looks the same, a little "off", not a perfectly square fit with the plastic sides.

I wouldn't worry about it.

 

It does look like the intercooler is just ever so slightly off to the left, but I probably would've never noticed unless you said something haha. It could be the autobot stick being a little crooked that is making it look a bit more deceiving too though.

 

What kind of weapon does it transform into? Anyway, nice and clean install

 

Stealth setup is looking good You could always anodize the intercooler!

And there you have it, your car is off center- its not the IC! Quality went south on the X'S.

 

its the intercooler bracket probably, wasn't centered and now IC is little off..

 

For me its looking great

p.s. Iam getting a autobot sticker this spring for my X MR WW. There more than meets eye with this Lancer LOL

 

there used to be a crew in socal called the "autobots" that was when I first saw the stickers on imports back in the 90's... but who really knows...

 

just take of the diffusers by the front mount. it will look cleaner and it wont bug you as much.

 

maybe use washers to shift it over?
