Yes. I read somewhere that the iPod interface and Mitsu's interface aren't compatible. This sucks. I just stream music thru my phone's bluetooth instead.
I have an ipod nano connected to my Evo and I haven't had a problem with it yet. When you first start the car it takes a few seconds to read and load, but I think that is normal for any car with an ipod connection (at least in my experience).
Joining the bandwagon here about 10 months late.

Another thing to mention about the Nav is that it has RTT. I do prefer the integration and the partial ability to alter car settings ie auto light sensitivity, auto lock options etc.. One thing the IPOD UI is about a decade old. Bear in mind in japan there is like 5+ NAV options from the dealer. MR Touring = GSR Premium.

There is an update to Mitsu's software that will allow the new Apple products to become compatible. Atleast thats what I heard. Ask the dealer..
