Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought USDM Evo X's do not have a true mount for a tow hook and that it needs to be drilled/tapped. Will this T1R hook mount directly to USDM EvoX without modification?
No. The USDM version is not pre-drilled.
To make it fit, you need one of the 3:
1) A JDM crash bumper
2) Pre-drill and tap the hole
3) Get the mod to make it fit. There was a thread on it, but it was deleted. (https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/7476370-post13.html) Basically it was an insert that went inside the crash bumper and bolted to it with a pre-drilled hole that you just threaded the tow hook into.
