It's actually cheaper since it's frp and not carbon.

i thought that myself, but the FQ-400 comes stock with a VG. i wonder if that one is designed to actually help the aero?

APR is designed with function in mind and they revised their product. I had the old one and it had fitment issues. I received the newly designed one last week and it fits like a glove. Notice how the fins change direction whereas the ones on the Rexpeed one do not. Also I don't think that Rexpeed piece in the OP fits right. All the ones I've seen thus far don't fit. It sticks up a bit on the side, and it looks to be the same case here. I don't understand how some of you guys accept subpar fitment on parts like these. I *****ed and *****ed about the APR piece not fitting correctly and guess what, I got a new one that does (5 months later).

So, the APR tucks under the weatherstrips then? Does it use double-sided tape?

Hmm, I will have to call Peter at APR and discuss this and see if the VG does add any value or not. From what I have read, the X does not need it. I know the FQ has it, but I haven't seen any info that its to increase performance and not bling-blau.

It's a vanity mod. It goes under the weatherstrips and uses 2x tape.
