they look great. seriously how they should have come from the factory in my opinion. i wonder why no one with the non sss lights is doing this? i may give it a try once the weather warms up and i get my galant running.

^ Cause non-SSS would be pointless. The amount you'd be able to black out w/o reducing light output is too minimal to make it worth the effort.

I just used one coat of VHT high heat epoxy....no sanding required. Then followed it up with mulitple coats of ceramic hight heat low gloss black. If you tried to sand it, it would be a PITA. From what other have said, no sanding is really necessary with the right paint

Correct, once you are done, put them together best you can, then throw them back in for ~10 min....that will soften the adhesive/oem glue enough to seal them back up. Then i used clamps to apply pressure. Used about 8 clamps total to apply pressure all around the headlamp. Did this till the light cooled to room temperature.
