Is there a performance difference with the 19" ? I think you should know that because you drove 18" before.
There is no question about the 19" looks much more better on the X but I'm a little bit confused it will kill performance.

Well you got to ask yourself what you're going for and how you use your car. The 18s felt more neutral and the 19s feels like they introduced more variables to the equation. Driving comfort is also changed, going to low profile tires, the ride is much more harsh and every bit of the road is felt - some due to suspension settings. Theres also the weight issue and wheel travel.. etc
Overall yes I feel if you're going for performance, go 18s. Also consider cost into all of this as performance tires for 19s are much more than 18s, and I believe you've more options with 18s.
