cant tell from the pics, did you black out the mesh or remove it? If you removed it, how easy to do so?

 

The mesh is removed in the pictures; we took the photos while we were waiting for the paint to dry. It's very easy to remove. There are just metal tabs connected to the hood that are twisted around the mesh. Untwist them with a pair of pliers and the mesh comes right out. I put a few coats of primer and a few coats of flat black spray paint and it looks much better.

I'm still trying to figure out what size washer nozzles I need, because the stock ones are too big for the pre-drilled holes and I didn't want to drill the hood unless I have to. Might have to sand down the stock ones or buy some different sized universal ones.

Very nice, looks much better without the mesh. I will have to either remove mine or paint black when I get it.

 

I'll be painting it soon. I have to get my rear bumper repaired, and the hood will get painted at the same time.

 

That hood would look sweet painted. Car looks good.

I think unpainted CF hoods are sooo 1999. No offense to anyone else, just my opinion.

 

once u paint a cf hood without oem fitment the gaps will stand out like a sore thumb.

 

I also think the cf look is dated and overplayed, to the point where I feel it looks tacky. That's why I wanted to paint it.

i think it will look a lot better painted. that hood looks mean, make it stock color and it will just be amazing!

 

Love the car and pics. Hate the obnoxious logo on every photo. It takes away from the pictures. Just my opinion...

 

of course it takes away from them but it helps prevent random websites and people from claiming my photos to be theirs
