Yup, 25 second exposures at f/11 or f/13 @ 16mm. I didn't even use my new 70-200 2.8 IS L. I might get some more external flashes and pocket wizards for night time, but I'm redoing my engine bay and going for ~500WHP on my car, so those things can wait

Why so long? No reason to use such a long exposure.

To do the f/11 it was. I wanted that large DOF. I don't mind the lens flares except the ones that are on the cars (s2k), but I didn't anticipated the sky being noisy since that's not visible on the review screen.

I could have tried a smaller DOF and shorter exposure time, but we were really just hanging out there and it was a "what the hell, lets do it" shoot. I didn't expect that many cars to come with us (it was only supposed to be me and the S2K just to see the spot and take a few pics), so I only took 2 pics of each car and called it a night.

You do realize that on wide angle lens that unless you are extremely close to your subject, depth of field is inconsequential. I have the same lens (16mm-35mmL) and f/2.8 at 11ft or more would have rendered your background as sharp or sharper than f/11 due to what's called diffraction limited aperture.

I didn't know that. That would explain why that one picture I have of my car on the 15mm fisheye @ f/2.8 has a no bokeh. I'll keep that in mind next time.

Canon 50D.

This is a 1MB file. The sky is noisey, but I love the light trail!
