Yeah, I wasn't attracted by them as well, but it was the only new SE they could find for me in the area... Actually my OEM standard mirrors are coming, the dealer will replace for free

lol was it that bad?

can you give a quick comparison as far as performance and handling between the two? im considering both, but i can find a RA much cheaper than an evo. i love AWD and i just want to know if its worth it going with the AWD in the X. ive rode in an IX before and the handling was amazing, and this having the same AWD i think i would be happy with that, along with having modding and power capability close to the MR, im trying to find reasons to justify the evo other than the reason that "its an evo"

hummm... well, I just went back from the Auto-X today. As for the power, IMO the X got too much for Auto-X (not for street racing tho LOL). My best time was via "Sport" mode! When I switched to "Super-Sport" mode, some corners I got all wheels spinning, it was difficult to control the car and It had to push my body harder... So I guess the manual says "S-Sport was designed for the closed TRACK" is very true LOL . My previous two Auto-X was with my RA. I was fine and fun with "Sport" mode, except the RA feels heavier (not slower) than X. And as far as for the handling, X does response quicker than RA and feels very TIGHT which means u are more connected to the animal u control . Did not feel too much diff between RA's Evo 9 AWD and whole new X AWD sys, but X's wheels and tire did help the corner performance. See there is another tricky part between these two cars. RA got much smaller turn circle (more agile/flexible?) but with 3+ turns (lock to lock) for steering wheel. And X got too wide turn circle that I had to use "R" gear a lot when parking but with only a bit over 2 turns for steering wheel, It's easy to control when making turns with carrying some speed. If u had to slow down for very sharp turns, I'd have RA's turning ability tho . As for a daily drive, either one of them is nice! U gotta buy the premium for them anyway LOL. But if you have a lot of stuffs to carry with u daily or have family, u'd better get the RA sportback, fast and spacy IMO
PS: I am still new to the Car as well as to the Auto-X... so just take my opinion as reference, there are more experienced guys out there .

GO for the Evo if U wanna hit the REAL TRACK!!!

Sounds like you need practice. SCCA offers regional schools at the beginning of each season. Something to look into. Good luck.
