Do you guys in the US consider 140mph a big deal?

I'm asking this seriously because I drive at that speed during my commute often...

 

^over here the cops don't go away if you put some bills in their hand... if you get caught at 140, you're most likely getting some new jewelry...

Slovenia is awesome! I used to go there at least once a month while I was stationed in Italy. The people there were soo nice and back before the Euro, we could drink all night, get a hotel room (or Hostel), and get lunch the next day for 20-40 bucks US. We used to eat at Horse Burger all the time. haha. The Autostrada (Autobahn), is an amazing drive. Sorry for going off topic.

 

Getting caught here will result in a 1400$ish penalty and a ban from driving from 1 to 12 months... But you don't get caught at those speeds and it's not like I'm the only guy driving at those speeds...

Horseburger still exists and it's still good However before the euro, prices were fine, now it's beyond F***ed up...


Speed limit is 130 km/h (80ish miles per hour) but it's more of an informative thing on the highways

 

not trying to start sh*t or anything, but since you drive like that to work almost everyday and you're not the only one doing it, sounds like enforcement is pretty lax... either that or traffic is always open enough to be able to get away and the cops don't put much effort into trying to catch you. here most places would have 10 cop cars on you in minutes and some cities even a helicopter...

Here most cops act like you've attempted murder if you get pulled over for doing anything over 80, ofcourse there are exceptions, but thats generally how it works out.

thats not to say I've never gone over 140 before, I have, but I just don't make a habit of it (although I would if I lived in Germany)

 

i did 152 on I95 in NC in my Evo 7 before,felt like she was doing 85 .only difference the tack needle much higherl

 

I could go for a Horseburger! I remember when the Euro came out, it screwed everyone and the prices of everything went up, it sucked.

 

Pretty sure the sst will do 180+mph so I've heard. Done 115 in 1/4 with mine
