GReddy Performance Products, Inc. now offers it’s new Type-*‐33F Upgraded Intercooler for the 2008-*‐on (CZ4A) Mitsubishi Evolution X. In addition to being nearly 4” (100mm) thick and having 60% larger core volume, (measuring 525x292xa00mm vs. the stock 490x290x68mm) it’s unique, divided end-*‐ tanks increase efficiency and cooling. A must have, for high boost EVO X applications. The combination of the larger Tube and Fin’s “inner-*‐fin” technology with the larger 70mm (vs. stocks 60mm) diameter, heavy-*‐duty, directional end-*‐tanks provide better flow and cooling over the entire core surface.
Thank for looking,
Phil
the air flow diagram of the stock intercooler isn't accurate. as you can see in the vids below, the upper part gets hot faster than the lower. in these vids, my car was bone stock with about 2.5k miles on it.
I wonder how the Greddy would look like on an IR camera. If anyone local gets one, I can barrow the camera from work again and we can check it out (or if someone wants to sponsor me
