if you end up getting a new bumper, you don't need a body shop. if you order the OEM, it's pre painted. I went to Marco's autobody in Monterey Park, hands down the best at what they do and color match. They said all they had to do was order and slap it on. They couldn't match the paint better than Mitsu themselves. I've had my WW for 2 years when I replaced the rear bumper, the color is exactly the same, no need to blend the panels. Also, the headlight is easy swap, just order the headlight housing*, not assembly. Switch everything and you are good to go.

Edit: Forgot to mention that any structural damage, I am not familiar with. Usually everything is checked for damage and then replaced. I can't tell if you have any damage there, but doesn't look severe at all.

Yeah, the bumper and headlight should be fairly easy. In the pic you can see the sharp edge of the side panel is bent as well. I'm not sure if I need a new panel or they're just going to flatten that out. I'd prefer a NEW one but...w/e.

Nah, stupider than that. I hit a stupid pillar in a park structure because I'm retarded and didn't time my reverse correctly. In all the years of driving, I've never done this...such a stupid mistake.

Why so much drama? It's all cosmetic damage. File an insurance claim and get it fixed. The mechanics are still fine.

I did the same thing, i felt ****ing stupid..i backed right into a pole, the pole was sticking out way to much, ( in front of the bottom cement (stopper?) crest.

Bumper didnt get paint on it but got a nice split dent on the rear bumper.

After its fixed go into boost 2-3 times and you'll forget all about it!

dont feel bad man... my Evo is 5 days old and I hit a cart rail at Target that I couldn't freaking see.. Just because I'm used to the rear-view camera in the new Elantra... I sort of didn't really care to look around and pay more attention and boom... there I have a black scratch on the right side of my rear bumper, no buffing would fix that, the dam red paint is all gone lol... 80 bucks to fix, hope and pray the paint comes out 99% like stock

you'll get over it.... hope it all comes out cheap... or cheap-er than you expect

Thanks for the encouragement, hehe.

But I'll forever feel something is missing. I zip-tied it just now so it doesn't look AS bad, drove it around the block. Every little bump I hear from the car worries me now...

When the accident happened the first thing I did was go out and pick up all my fender liner buttons. LOL!

I popped the hood and the headlight pushed into the freaking grill, haha. Some plastic inside the hood was broken and snapped off, and the plastic covers were a bit pushed over. I hope everything suspension/mechanic wise is good. :/
