I recently had a guy change the OEM orange-ish led's on my radio, hvac, asc, awc, steering wheel, headlight adjustment, bluetooth, hazard assembly, and ash tray lights to white leds. I wasnt a fan of the OEM orange-ish led's because it just looked totally off with my 2010 gauge cluster. Also, the picture makes my led's look brighter than what it really is.
The radio display screen couldnt be turned into white. The lcd board emits a green hue so it turns out green in the end. So I kept that amber..
I will post up better pics with my DSLR soon.. Time for some White Defi Advance BF gauges now !!
(That ash tray light seems bright blueish but thats just due to the camera.)

I didn't do this myself. I found a guy that does it, from my local evo forum, and contacted him.
What he does is remove oem LEDs, and then solders new LEDs in any color of your choice.
Keep in mind that my radio screen isn't that bad if you plan on going a different color other than white. The OEM red screen is red due to the plastic cover. He removes that and makes his own cover out of lexan. He then tints the lexan and puts it in place. Whatever color he tints the custom cover, say for instance blue, it'll show up blue. Mine only came out greenish is due to not tinting the lexan. We tried just tinting it black but I wasn't feeling it at all still. It'll stay red for now though. Don't mind it at all.
He can also change the LEDs in oem navi's...
