RR X MR - Subtle mods

I've had my Evo for about a year and a half now, figured it's time to put up a few random pics taken during it's minor evolution.

Pics are laid out chronologically, starting with when I bought the car and ending with how it looks currently.

Mod list:

- RALLIART exhaust
- RALLIART heat shields
- RALLIART antenna
- RALLIART rear spoiler garnish
- Girodisc slotted 2-piece rotors front/back
- Michelin Pilot Super Sports
- RS fog light delete
- FQ400 style VG
- RALLIART style mud flaps
- Voltex GF
- Alpine speakers, amps, DSP + custom sub enclosure
- Tomei Ti UICP
- Cosworth drop-in
- Wrapped head/tail lights + clear bra

Thanks, I did consider Perrin but in the end JDM bling won

Takes effort but with careful (boring) driving it is possible. I'd like to think that some of it is from the drop-in and reduced rotational mass.

It is an axle-back, not full exhaust. Definitely pricey for what it is but I'm happy with the stock power and wasn't interested in changing out the full exhaust. noenoe_pro has provided the right link to it.

Thanks, I've seen a few folks with them, but not as common the Rally Armor variety.

Don't worry, no copyrights here
I couldn't take a pic of the DSP as it lives under the front passenger seat.

Loving it all except for the head/tail light wrap. Front headlights look off when they're darkened like that. Maybe blackout the chrome like some guys here have been doing? As for the tails, you definitely should be rocking the Ralliart lights, especially since you got so much other Ralliart bling.

As for antenna, I didn't like the way it didn't sit flush like it does on the 8's and 9's so I ended up selling that one myself.

Anyways, clean stuff!

not a fan of the mud flaps, but the rest of the car looks great.

how do you like the girodisc rotors? are you running stock pads still? did you noticed any increased acceleration from the loss of rotating mass?

Haha small city! The flaps are not authentic RALLIART, hence citing them as 'RALLIART style'. Unfortunately the authentic ones come in a very odd hue of red/orange that totally would not work with RR. If I had a WW X, I might have gone for them.

Thanks for the comments. Interestingly I never intended to vinyl them, my original intent was to clear cover them to protect against fading and any odd chips. This was while I was getting the whole front end clear bra'd. The installer gave an option of going with a slight tint and I went with it, no regrets and easy to take off!

Love the Giro's! Yes running stock pads as I only had a few thousand on them when I swapped out the rotors. If I remember correctly, all together I shaved close to 40 pounds of rotational mass off the drive train compared to a stock MR. Yes, noticeable to the butt dyno, even on stock tune.
