why do people take off the ducts on the sides of the intercooler?

well looks is up to you... but it doesn't cool better, it cools worse. it allows the air to flow around the intercooler instead of through it...

Yea that wide open bumper n airs not gonna go through the intercooler.....

i know you're being sarcastic, but thats exactly whats happening. with the air guides in place the air flow was forced to go through the core. now that the air guides are gone it lets some of the air flow around the intercooler instead of through it

All the air that my front bumper is hitting trust me plenty is going through my front bumper n the air that doesnt go through my intercooler goes through my racing radiator and through my brake ducts
