Hit a deer! Need advice on new bumper

So I've had my 2011 GG gsr for a little over a month and I hit a deer tonight. I was only going about 40 and it hit the front right corner of the car and bounced off so it didn't do that much damage. I'll try to get some pics up in the next few days.

The front bumper/air dam or whatever you call it is going to have to be replaced so I figure I might as well put something nice on there. What are the best manufacturers of these? Also will it need to be painted or will it come color matched?

Any advice appreciated very much!

thanks

Are there any companies that have some bumpers in stock, or wouldn't take too long to get? I would hate to replace the bumper with an oem one.

Mitsubishiparts.net has some bumpers instock.. Of course, they are only OEM ones, but Russell is a vendor on here and can get you a good deal. I like the OE bumper best anyways.

Most people go with Varis, C-west, and I've seen a couple with the Test Service kit too. I suggest just looking up pics of all of them and deciding what look you like the best.

I don't know if Bulletproof has any keeps any instock, but I would PM him too because Jason is also a vendor on here.

I doubt any Jdm bumpers are in stock. 2-4 month wait unless you pay for air shipping...

We can get just about anything from OEM to aftermarket, whether it's USDM or JDM. I'd love to help you get your car back on the road!

Good to know that you're ok. Sounds like you got pretty lucky with the damages, too.

Ouch! I'm glad to hear you are ok, accidents are always a scary situation.

To be honest, most if not all aftermarket bumpers come in a gel coat finish so painting at a reputable local body shop will be necessary. It also is a better match for weathered paint in that respect.

That being said, I believe I have an extra Varis/Original Runduce bumper (which comes with the attached lip in case you were wondering) on my next container that should be arriving within a week or so. Your timing is impeccable, as normally a fresh order takes about 3 months from the start of production till it hits our shores after overseas shipping. Please contact me here, or give me a call at 213 745 6954 and I can get you squared away. Here is a picture for reference!

Thanks!

- Jason

I had the same problem and to be honest don't go with anything except varies or cwest if the insurance covers cuz they r a lil more money ,. But at the end I just changed everything to be stock again cuz nothing work with the snow specially the fiber glass ..

Same thing happened to me recently. I couldn't find an aftermarket bumper in stock that I liked, so I went with the OEM one. If you can, try to find a VARIS one!
