how long did that take you? I just took mine off plastidipped then put back on in about 20 mins minus paint drying time.

I likewise think it would be easier to remove than tape it off, also much cleaner. or like what most have done is to try abd trade with a gsr.

It didn't take long. It may be better taking off the grill but don't you have to remove the bumper for that? For me i just don't like taking my bumper off.

nope you can get the ring off without removing the bumper. just takes some squeezing the screwdriver/ratchet in tight places.

Lol that was my daughter; you should do it looks pretty good and even protects your grill and you can take it off whenever you want

When I did mine I took the grill off ahead of time. Made things easier and allowed for a cleaner look. I did have to take the entire bumper off since the surround has a number of screws holding it in place. I should also note that you should be VERY careful when popping out the grille surround as I managed to snap one side of mine completely in half. I was able to fix it with some time and epoxy, but that was a bit of an annoyance. Here's the final product:

Nice job. Is that yellow you did on the chromed part? it looks nice ; you just gave me an idea for different looks

I've thought about trading for a GSR grill, but I am going to keep it just in case i want to go back to a chrome look.
