I figured I'd go ahead and make one of these cause I'm bored. So the backstory is I've loved the Evos since I saw the VII in Gran Turismo 3, and told myself I would get one. Got a new job making decent money so I decided I would splurge and finally get my dream car.

After many many attempts with dealerships, I finally settled on one and ordered the car the way I wanted. I even went ahead and did Mitsu's custom leather seat program through Roadwire. I've only had her 3 weeks now, and I'm already at 1200 miles. I plan on doing some bolt ons and maybe a track day a couple times a year, but this is my DD until I get something better later. But enough talking, time for pictures!

I also have a RR EVO X!!!! Not really into leather tho! Haha but all u need is a nice Lil drop and basic little bolt on's and ur set!!!!! And its nice to see people still want Rally Red!!! Seems like everyone wants PB or WW like someone stated before!!!

 

It's done thru Mitsu. You can either call your dealer, or call a local Roadwire rep directly. It's third party, but it's covered under your Mitsu warranty.

My seats were a little more cause of the perforated leather and stitching, but I think the base is $1300


I love the RR. I really wanted RG, but that only came out in '10. You're right, everyone I see now has a WW or a MR (nothing wrong with either, I just wanted to stand out personally)

How does this leather program work? I ordered my MG GSR back in March and its supposed to arrive in July. My understanding was the leather seats were being installed at the factory, not by some 3rd party.

More info is appreciated.

 

It took about 3-4 days for the leather to arrive at the shop (I still had my car obviously during this time), and he said it only took a few hours to install. Basically you tell them how you want your seats to look, they order the material, material comes in, drop off the car, they take out the seats out of the car, remove the cloth covers from the seats and center arm rest, install leather covers, put seats back in car. At that time, you get your car back, and you have to take it back to a Mitsu dealer to reset the airbag codes (about 30 minutes).

kiddsm95 - you must have gotten the Leather and Sunroof package from the factory. Mine is a [little known] Mitsu program that they run through Roadwire. Be sure to post pics of your MG GSR cause I think you'd be the first.

Everyone else - thanks for liking the car so much. I hate being "just a number", so when I set out for the Evo (an already pretty rare car), I wanted a color not many people had. On top of that, I wanted the leather that not many people know about. Calling it bragging rights, haha
