Updates to my 2012.
the car is still in pieces as i didn't finish the install as ets sent me a 2.5" to 3" 90 degree bend for the licp to throttle body, so i need to wait until i get the 2.5" to 2.75" to finish buttoning everything back up. i'm gonna get tuned on this stage 2 set up and get about 5000 miles on the clock and then i'll get the turbo, injectors, fuel pump, manifold, and downpipe.
Looks good man, we got the coupler out today express. Looks like we ran out of stock on the 3.5" intercooler and sent a 4.0" for a substitute.
That's a win/win for sure.
During our testing we found the 4.0" to make more power even on the stock turbo. This car is unique with the dual mivec and flows a ton of air. The larger intercooler really helps with air flow while dissipating excessive heat. It was a 5hp increase over our 3.5" setup with the same modifications and tuning.
Thanks for posting up pictures!

Big thank you to ETS and michael, service has been perfect, can't say enough good things. parts have been super high quality as well, packaged perfectly, absolutely zero complaints. in fact i'll be going ETS V2 quiet instead of the perrin, now just gotta get rid of the perrin.

I love ETS!!!, not to take over the thread but i just ordered K&N filter on the 3rd of June and I just got it yesterday talk about super package just for a filter, it came in a BIG box with lots of paper inside then the K&N box with lots of paper.

Pressure drop can be seen from going with a core that is too large, not turbo lag.
Turbo lag is just an excuse lots of guys have when they have no real answer. The core has a larger surface and internal area that needs to fill and thus will create a feeling of the car being slower, because the stock turbo wouldn't be able to properly push the required CFM through a core that is too large. A 4" core shouldn't have negative effects except for maybe around an estimated 1psi drop. I'm sure ray will get a larger turbo down the line anyway.
Think of it this way:
You have 3 things to blow up using your mouth.
1 Balloon
1 Small Paper Bag
1 Hot Air Balloon
The balloon will be the stock IC core. It's restrictive, has a narrow opening, and makes you light headed if you try too hard.
The small paper bag is an upgraded FMIC. Larger opening for air to enter, easier to fill up with air and stay pressurized, and doesn't leave you feeling light headed
The hot air balloon is a core that is way too large for your setup. Sure, it holds lots of air and will definitely look awesome, but think about how long that will take to blow up with your mouth instead of using the proper equipment.

Well after all these installs, i wasn't thrilled with the AEM intake, it fit ok but not absolutely perfect, as far as engine bay appearance i like how stealthy it looks, after much debate i decided to take off the AEM intake after 10 miles of use and order the ETS intake. so the aem is now for sale, practically brand new. so now everything on the car is ETS. so to anyone on the fence about which brand to go with, just go ets from the start and don't worry about it you won't find anything better.
