2010 Evo X Non-SSL Projector Retrofit

Hey guys,

Went looking for a while on the forum and couldnt find a how-to on the retrofit. Wondering if anyone knows of, has access to, or can help with it.

I am not new to modifying cars but one thing I have not done is cracked open a headlight or retrofitted projectors in a non-projector housing.

Is this something anyone with some good common sense and tool sense can accomplish? I'm just scared s***less of ruining my OEM headlights and being stuck unable to drive.

Any input is appreciated. If anyone can show me their projector retrofit and/or thinks they can take it on for a price let me know (northeast only please).

Thanks,
Mac

Search on here. But I wouldn't suggest doing it yourself if you have never even opened a headlight assembly. There are members here on EvoM that have done work for others (send them your HL and they mod it). But if you don't want any downtime for a week or two, best thing to do is probably just buy some Ebay headlights with projectors. You can buy some HID conversion kits and it should look good.

I'll see if I can find some threads of users showing some steps.

I know they changed the upgrades on the X's but im coming from an Evo 8 and its what I know. It is a base GSR< no leather, no sunroof, no HIDs, no RF audio.

Ive heard nothing but good things about quality and OEM fitment but I have heard the light dispersion on these is aweful. I dont want projectors that end up looking like a normal halogen housing or have two intense spots with scattered light everywhere else.

I am more than willing to talk with guys living near me on them completing retrofit projects for me. I am in eastern MA

Mac, you bought a WW GSR from Cornerstone?

Heard the previous owner had it for a SHORT while.
