I'll say again what I told my friends:

"I may be getting a bit sentimental about this but y'know how it is with us men and our vehicles. It will become a "me, too" car. There's nothing wrong with affordability. And I'm hearing it's fun to drive. But when everyone has one, it loses a lot of its appeal to car enthusiasts. It no longer has that immediate impact on people. We like having cars that, in a glance, immediately define the driver as one that drives for many more reasons than just to get somewhere."

I think (and this is just my two cents) that the car is going to be the next Honda Civic. I expect these to be the cars in the near future that rev their engine at me at stop lights because they are under the impression that 200 horsepower beats everything on the road.

It looks exactly like the Scion FR-S, same power, or lack thereof, too.

I don't think they will be producing as many as a Honda does with Civic's. I was told dealers are allocated only so many, at least for the Scion version. Plus the more that are out there, the better the aftermarket supports them.

Actually I think this was a great and new idea. Toyota and Subaru developed the cars together, this was a joint venture from the start. Toyota did the chassis and aero Subaru did the engine and suspension, and the other parts were also split to suit the development and expertise each manufacturer has.
So yes they are the same car but in a good way. I for one love the idea. from the moment this hit the web the car was called the Toyobaru/Subayota. Either way it turned out really really good.
So I disagree with the out of ideas part, this is one that I consider fresh and exciting.{thumb up}

Also, I highly doubt that you'd see this car in civic numbers, it's priced higher and made in way lower numbers particularly on the BRZ side.

It's ok. Pretty cool looking car. Fairly low HP numbers.

I wonder if it is going to have the ringland issue.

I'm not saying it was a bad idea just a weird one I owned a 2005 supercharged scion tc and there was talk of this car for years but back than it was just supposed to be a scion now it's a fts , brz , and ft86 over seas and the cars are exactly the same except for price it scion is slightly cheaper than the Subaru so why by a Subaru also having the same car between companies has been done before Pontiac/ Chevy - firebird/ camaro I'm just not a fan !

I'm waiting until the end of the year on an abandoned order. These will see no where near Civic numbers. More like EVO, in terms of production.
