245 tires are rated up to a 9.5" wheel, so the "stretch" is minor.

Mild stretch. I will probably go with a stightly wider tire evetually. Maybe more competition oriented 245 which run wider or a 255/40 which will be slightly taller. If I decide I can find someone to roll the fenders, 275s which are close to stock height and really the "correct" size for the this wheel and car given the stock wheel size.

Thanks...post picts of the vette!

Thought about the tint but have two issues 1) knew I was moving soon but not to where so did not want to have to change 2) tint brings more attention from the police...at least around NE Ohio.

Have had the same rims on my rr for a while now. You will need the fenders rolled in the rear if you go with a wider tire for sure. My rears are rolled & slightly pulled with 255/40/18 tires & the rears still rub once in a while. I have pro kit springs on my car though.

How about 265/35s? How do you like those springs?

I think I might get away with the a 265 or 275 35 sidewall. They are shorter than the 255/40.

Especially the 265/35. I have a used set of tires I will try when I have time.

Nice Dr. James... I've thought about a set of those on and off. I can't make up my mind when it comes to wheels/tires.

Haha, I know what you mean... Seth is funny when it comes to wheel preferencs. Love it or hates it, no middle ground. As far as my evo, yea... got it back. I'm in the middle of installing a mishimoto oil cooler, cbrd radiator, tow hook, and a ralliart t-stat right now. It time permits I will finish it this weekend.

I've thought about Raijins, Rays 57DR's, 57Xtreme's, and even RPF-1's(but everyone has those).... I just can't make up my mind.
