Definitely looks lowered to me. The front has a huge gap stock. Yours does not

Best way to know is to check the springs. Try comparing the springs with your friend's evo.

I think its stock and your larger sidewall tires make the car look a little lower. (255/40 vs 245/40)

that's a good thought but that is absolutely lowered...Eibach and Racecomp make black springs...my guess is Eibach Pro Kit

This could factor in a little bit but it definitely looks lowered.

Check the bolts on top of your struts and see if they've been wrenched. I also think it looks like lowering springs on all corners. Looks good though!

I'm on 255/40/18's as well with the eibach pro kit and powder coated black stock wheels...I will try and upload a pic today to help you compare....to me personally, it's most likely the all black wheels with larger sidewall that make it look slammed.
Off topic..what kind of carbon fiber trunk is that? seibon?? I am looking around for one that has the fast key button on the trunk included....Most of the ones I see online don't have a spot for the fast key trunk button.

I don't think its a Eibach Pro kit as a pro kit is quite low (1 1/2 finger gap in back 2 finger up front)

Here is mine, angle does not help really. maybe try measuring from the axle center line to the top of the fender and compare that to your buddy's...

If you really want to know. Take one shock/spring completely out of the car and inspect it, then you will know for sure. The rear is easier to remove then the fronts, will take you 30min.

The Eibach pro springs do say 'Eibach' on them
