Custom Fender Vents - Prototype
Yes, From the footage you turned in a little early, setting yourself up for an early apex and thus to run out of track before track out, that and you couldn't rotate the car enough at that speed and so pushed (understeer) through the apex. Happens to the best of us.
When it does happen, practice to LFB and rotate the car earlier, that will get the back end around and you can get your front end towards track out and back to throttle sooner.

I think you missed the point......
Anyway, that wasn't an early turn in, it was the brakes out performing the worn NT05's.... you can hear the chirp (0:49), and the backend stepped onto the painted lines. Game over!
A full Alcon race kit, with DS3000 pads just wont work with road tyres in those conditions, I should have known better.

I had the NT01's on my Mustang. I didn't get a chance to do any track days but they were pretty grippy. Just did not like the rain at all though, ha ha.

i'm not sure what point you are trying to make .... either way, just sharing some information with people on the forum, and showing everybody what it looks like when you cut out your fenders.....
if you want to comment on the dynamics of a car, that you have seen in a video, then I guess I should leave you to it.......... for the record, my driving was not perfect, I went into the corer too fast..... why? Because I was chasing a time that the tyres were not capable of........ what is my point ..... NT05's are not real "semi slicks" ... they are just for show! Something most of us know anyway, but this is the proof!

You should reasonably expect comments on the dynamics of the car and your driving if you are going to post up a nice little video and critique your tires in the event of an uncontrolled slide. I commented only to offer some perspective and a suggestion on your corner entry, as that would certainly affect the performance (and thus your interpretation) of the tyres. My suggestion is, take it or leave it, use a little left foot braking to help rotate the car earlier. You'll find that, on the racing forums, we comment constantly on technique, line, skill, errors, etc. And, if you are open to it, it can be a helpful way to learn and pick up those tenths...
Really? Well ok, my point was/ is, simply, that you were a little early and couldn't get the car rotated, and that had a dramatic affect on how or whether the tire could maintain enough grip to execute the corner at that speed. Whether or not the Nitto is a capable tire I have no opinion but, by being early and a little hot (fast) and not getting it rotated, the car doesn't have much option besides pushing across the apex (and through the corner towards the wall).

Look your comments are welcome, but I'm just trying to make the point that the rotation is nothing to do with turning in, because I was not turning in. I was actually braking earlier than I wanted to, still coming out of the double right, because I was carrying too much speed; that was my mistake
It isn't really important to be honest, just trying to share the experience.
For reference, here is the car taking the same corner on Pirelli Trofeo's at 165kph, rather than 145kph. This is the old 2.0L setup (420whp) and not the JUN 2.3.
I don't think that anyone the races considers an NT-05 a race tire unless you are in a series event which requires you to run the NT-05 (which in that case, as you stated, you just over-drove the tire....)
Anyway, back to the point...I would like to see a close up of the fender venting as any mod to extract heat from the wheel well is a great idea
