So I was leaving for work and sitting at my normal right turn waiting to get onto Barker Cypress and then Hwy 290, when this Jackmuffin in front of me spots a tiny gap in traffic and hammers his throttle.

His truck goes about spinning its back tires and throwing mud and rocks all over my car. This goes on for about 3-5 seconds and I can just hear gravel and stones pinging of the aluminum fender, hood and my door... all I could do was honk long and angrily,....and quietly weep.

Here are some pics of what I saw once I got to work after 35 minutes of driving in light rain/drizzle after the incident.

I am sooooooo dreading the outcome once I can wash this off to inspect how well the famous paint faired under the assault! At least I did put a coat of JetSeal109 on it about 2 months ago so maybe just maybe it won't be horrible.

I really do not think there is anything I can do if there is damage in terms of restitution I think I will just be SOL even though I have a pic of the Villain in this story.

Thanks , I uploaded some better pics, I can only imagine how much mud and crap he actually flung before the rain and highway speeds washed some of it off.

i exactly know how you feel man. same thing happen to me but with an 18 wheeler.... i almost die yelling and complaining... but what can be done??? I think there should be a more strict law with mudflaps on trucks and light trucks. specially with these guys who think they owned the road. Cops ticket us for an exhaust and then they have big pipes and black smoke coming of them, huge tires throwing mud everywhere and they dont ticket them... :@#_(*#_($*_!(#_!(#

He also has one of those massive black diamond mesh brush guards up front made from like 2.5 inch tube stock. Covers the entire front of his truck.

@manolo I agree with the mudflaps since they would have saved me . But this is TX and I still need my TX to be free so sadly I have to say I would vote against putting restrictions like that into law.



I washed off the mess and there are some new nicks in the paint and a ton of light and some medium scratches that will buff off. Can't have anything nice in this town I swear!

 

It's not only your town though, people are like that all over. They're either jealous or they flat out don't have any respect for what other people work so hard for.
