you should just make a whole piece that replaces the black part in either abs plastic or carbon fiber that is available with cutouts for single or dual exhaust

I like the look, but would prefer a Type C style to cover the holes. Guessing the Type C is not going to be developed for the X?

Is this something we can preorder? It would be nice to possibly get in on the first couple waves. Also will Tarmac Black be available to color match? I believe it is the only color that doesn't fit in with any of the Evo colors since they have Phantom Black.

I dont have ETA for Evo 9 trunk spoiler but we will get to that for sure....

We can paint trunk spoilers in any color you want just provide color code :)

Type-C is still in developement if there are any updates I will post them up.

Good to hear, I would preorder a graphite grey one if possible. Will the hole plugs be geared stictly toward the Evo X wing? Or more universal, say if someone had an aftermarket one or the GTS wing and had holes left behind from that.

whats the weave for CF you're using 2x2? and will you put any UV protectant in the CF resin?

my Type-1 hood scoop from your company is already yellowing, and its only been 6mo

This is going to be one bad as* lip spoiler. It really flows with the body lines IMO. A lot better than the duck bill one piece style by Do-Luck..

I was one of those wanting a do-luck trunk, but damn, this is going to make it hard to justify now.

How strong is the bond from Lip to Trunk? Just curious as to people opening and closing the trunk by the lip and it's affects over time.

Same, can't wait. I'm trading a wingless trunk owner as well so I won't have the holes.

Rexpeed backs there products 100%. Once in a while you might get one that doesnt fit "perfectly", and Rexpeed fixes the problem asap.

For that they get {thumbup} {thumbup}

I'm getting my holes filled with the help of my buddies body shop.

Holes don't need to be filled since there's little holes at the end of the inner trunk so no water will be there {thumbup}

It just looks ugly with the holes there :lol:

You guys can just do it the semi-clean way and get a sheet of white vinyl and make circles out of it and lay it over the hole.

I'm getting a painted one it will flow better with my cars look.

I had white caps but they faded and my dad said it looks half assed so it took them off so now I'm using black electrical tape :lol:

I have to ask him about getting better caps.

Are you guys making one similar for the IX. That would be great.

My holes are being filled on Monday. And are you sure the 3M tape is really going to be strong enough to hold this on. I'm a little worried cuz the fl sun.

Mike, In another forum they said you may need to use "Betalink" Its a HD semi-permanent adhesive. It has been know to damage paint. You may have to order it from the dealer. Hey were gonna do some speed test with the 3M tape and post there findings.

Also.. do you have any plans on ever releasing a cf arm rest lid replacement for the Evo X?

we will get to the armrest eventually :)
The spoiler is being painted right now so when its ready and installed I will take more pictures from diffferent angles.
We believe 3M adhesives will be good enough... time will tell

If you need high temp/ high speed testing send me one I live in Fl and go on the freeway almost everyday. Car stays outside when I'm at work up to 10 hrs at a time. Let me know. Cf one please.

No kidding I work for Roush I drive pre production cars around and test them I think I can test a wing, Its really hot down here too in the high 90s..
