Now it's Officially a Storm Trooper!
So I finally got some new wheels & tires on the car. Didn't go to crazy with sizes because i'm not too comfortable with the idea of fender rolling. That being said, I think the wheel/tire combo looks perfect despite the car needing to be lowered soon.
Car hasn't been washed in a week so forgive me for the dirtiness. Just took these after getting installed about 2 hours ago, but I'll have some better pics soon once I lower it. Special thanks to Oakos Automotive for a great deal on the wheels! |
very nice
|

Thanks everyone. I'm definitely going to be lowering it soon. Right now, this was a big investment for me as I recently got married and my wife and I are currently house shopping. So the budget is kind of tight. Since this is my DR, i'll probably go with a set of Eibachs and then eventually upgrade to some coilovers.
I love the way the car looks. Even with it's monster-truck suspension, it's such an aesthetic upgrade IMO. Makes you wonder why Mitsubishi doesn't just offer wheels like this from the factory. |
Nice, dude. Going the same exact set up. You should Plasti-Dip the front emblem so it's stealth from the front. :)
|
that is a very sexy storm trooper!
|
Looks great! I'm jealous now...lol :}
|
Hopefully ordering rpf's this week, you helped make my decision easy! Car looks great.
|
drop it and call it a day. awesome fit.
|
After seeing these of 245 I think I'm going to go 255/35 instead of 265/35. Can't decide though...:'(
|
Try and get some springs ASAP :/ will look good once dropped
|
Looks good. Definitely will look hot once dropped
|
offset is too low, car is too high and tires are too narrow

Offset is perfect?!? Going any wider tire means you have to roll the rears...

Don't forget to black out your front emblem. Plasti-Dip matches the matte plastic on the bumper. :)
|
Weird, you look like you're running more poke than I am with the same exact wheel specs. Wrapped mine in 265/35/18's too.
What alignment specs will you run after lowering? Even with the stretched tires you miiiight have some very minor rubbing in the rear. Run -2 camber up front and -1.0 to -1.5 in the rear. |
Sick looking car there. I think I just decided which wheels I wil get next for my WW GSR. BTW, did you buy the wheels from one of the vendors on this site?

Way ahead of you. {thumbup} Picked up a can for the OEM center caps so I can throw them onto the RPFs. I haven't totally decided on the front emblem or not, but I'm probably going to do that also.

i got the same stormtrooper set up, but i painted my headlights, blacked out emblem and ac line, and this weekend am having the roof vinyled flat black.
your car looks just as AWESOME! love the WW's |
nice setup, I actually wanted the same kind of setup for mine but do i need to roll the fenders with the same setup plus with the eibach drop? also what if I go with 255/35?
|
Thanks man. I haven't lowered it yet, but there's someone here on the forums that has the same exact set up(he's who I made my decision based on) and is lowered on hibachis and I don't think he rolled the fenders.

How will the plasti dip hold up?

Nice, lookin' good!

It hold up pretty good. its heat resistant and you can also paint on top of it with any color of paint you want...
