sway bar setting with swift spec r

Just installed my swift spec r and whiteline rear sway bar with whiteline endlinks are going on soon. Which hole on the rsb do you recommend for DD? thanks.

I don't think a DD needs a RSB. However, set to softest until you run the car in an HPDE or AX. Then go up if you need more.

Do you happen to know the torque spec on the brackets?

you can't really go off a "recommended" setting... for DD it doesn't really matter... if you track or autox, try it in all the settings then adjust accordingly to how you want the car to behave... most autox courses the same setup will work typically. you may also find that as your skills grow you'll want your car to behave differently... for tracking you'll prolly wanna find an ideal setting for each track, a really tight track you'll want different settings than a high speed open track...

I have the same spec-r, whiteline setup. DD medium (middle) setting. No adverse effect for me, not too stiff not too soft. It is really easy to change if you don't like it.

Like everyone else has said for DD soft is fine. You will want to play with the settings though at the track to get it where you feel the car is handling the best for you at the time.

installed the RSB and it was an easy install. they should've included 4 longer bolts for the brackets (washers are included though), but good thing i have some spares. i set it to the middle hole setting for now. i'm going to take it to an alignment shop (West End Alignment) and let this guy do his magic.

btw, i used to hear knocking when going slow on dips and bumps, but now they are gone! not sure what's wrong with the stockers. i did however heard a loud sound coming from the front when i hit a steep speed bump at one point. felt like something is lose, but i don't think so. i'll have the shop check that.

thanks for the help guys!

ok, it seems like the springs got unseated when it when on the lift (got my tires replaced) and now it's making clunking and knocking sounds when hitting dips and going up on a driveway at an angle. this sucks.

i already re-torqued the middle strut nut and the mounting nuts.

do i just make sure that the bottom of the spring is seating properly?

pls. chime in if you had this prob before. thanks.

Springs should not have come out of their perches once any lift.

You should make sure they were installed correctly. If moved or off, re-torquing wont fix that.

CT9A had alignment holes in the top hat and bottom perch. If not aligned you get a clunk and binding sound.

I think you need to get your endlinks in first. most aftermarket endlinks need to be shorter than the factory links. You may have a bunch of slop in the sway bar. My perrin end links are 1" shorter than stock and work well. I ran the factory links for a while and my new rear sway was about worthless. The noise may be from the sway bar moving in the mount

freeway driving is quiet. the alignment shop saw that the endlinks were loose and tightened them. i also found that the top 2 middle bolts on the front strut bar were loose and took care of that as well. however, the noise is still present when i go really slow, say going up/down a driveway at an angle.

really hoping it's not from the springs. i'll re-check the endlinks.

can i tighten the middle strut nut with tires on the ground or it has to be unloaded, meaning the tires should be off the ground?

i noticed that when i lift the car up, i can still turn the springs. normal?

now i think the knocking/crunching noise is coming from the front springs.

Any update on this? So was it the endlinks or springs unseated?
