Robi, that looks great, but what I really want to know is what are the widest tires that will fot on the x w/out having to do the fender rolling. I only ask because most of us guys don't want to roll our fenders. I myself would like to put some 19 inch wheels with say, 265/35 or something like that. How big can I go without rubbing issues, and what would be the recommended offset specs for the appropriate wheel size that would house a tire like the one I listed? Thanks a lot man.
The no mess wit-da-paint limit on the "X" (this has some "wiggle room" so people don't call me out) is 275 on 9.5" rim the front offset can be as low as +15 (we use 2.4 camber) if needed for spoke clearance the rear offset looks to be about +30 (with 1.5 camber) This is at the 50mm drop front and 35mm drop rear the limit on the CT9A chassis was 255. with the same camber/drop (more or less) specifications. You can run a shorter tire and ride higher and 285's will work with high spring rates so the wheel doesn't move too high up. as always imo ymmv
Robi, can you show is a side view pic? Looks like there is some fun to be had in the near future. It also looks like the speedometer will be reading a higher indicated speed than acual speed. Oh well, who cares if you can tell what speed you are doing on the track.
Thanks. I thought that is what the tire would look like from the side. What track are you headed to? (Streets of Willow?) Well have fun. Let us know how well they work. Have fun.
