LOL....so how hard on the brakes do you have to be for this to happen? I'm tracking my car June 29th. I don't really plan to go easy on her....LOL. 2nd time to this track, first time in an Evo and I love this place. Still in level 1...but should be moving up soon. So it shall be fun and I don't plan to hold back becuase of paint turning colors...just wondering how hard to gotta push the car to do this.

Don't forget about the famous squeal that we all love bembos+1 for stoping power -1 for cheap paint and squealing sound (and no my brakes don't need to be changed the bembos just do that)

The calipers turn more because of boiling fluid than heat in general. With good ducting and fresh fluid from the start the calipers would barely turn colors. I have a friend here in MN with the AMS cooling duct kit on his VIII and with fresh fluid and Girodisc rotors, his calipers are still pretty nice red, only a little dark. I made the mistake of doing too long of sessions and repeatedly boiling the fluid Anyways, pics as promised:

I wouldn't complain about that ^^^ I like it actually. I'd get a gold Brembo decal to put over it! My brembo's are pink with flakeing clearcoat

Hmm I can't see the pics. I'm guessing it's becuase of the hacking into Photobucket?

Well now I see the pics. They don't look all that bad but I would still prefer to to keep mine red. So change the fluid before track days and what other tips do u have?

I am just finishing the development on a full race brake system (puts 25%+ more brake to the rear calipers) and takes over 20 lbs off the unsprung weight on the car....+ those of us who want to run super light 17" wheels will have the option.....(another 16+ lbs off the car!)
