It's time for me to change the brakes on my X and I was wondering if anyone had experience with the aftermarket pads when it comes to the X. I've seen some by Hawk, Girodisc and a few other companies. This is my daily driver and my toy...I really want something that won't give me grief and will stop like the O.E.M. pads..I'm just not up for paying $300 for front pads alone. So, if anyone can give me a hand in this deparment that would be great. I am really leaning toward Girodisc looks awesome, too good to be true?

Well you won't want ferodo pads . $$, squeaky, dusty -- but the stop like a wall.

For a daily, with no track, the magic pads will be fine.

You might think about swapping to braided lines and good fluid (like motul 600) since that firms the pedal up so the brakes feel better.
